A young police officer reported to a station on Saturday and told the officers there he had been transferred from another precinct. The officers were unaware he was to be there but being the accommodating cops they are, they assigned the young man a partner and sent him on patrol.
Turns out the young police officer was a 14-year-old boy posing as a police officer, complete with uniform. No one noticed the boy was not wearing a shield nor was he carrying a gun.
The teenager went out on patrol and worked with the other officer for FIVE hours before being discovered.
The boy has not been identified due to his age. The incident remains under investigation and the boy is to receive a psychiatric evaluation.
