Parents Assocation treasurer charged with embezzling

The Chicago Tribune reports the former treasurer of a Naperville school parents association has been charged with stealing at least $8500 from the group. Lisa Landin, 39, of Naperville has been charged with three counts of theft and one count of forgery. The organization raised funds through a gift card sales program and it is alleged that Landin took cash from the fund and also altered cash receipts. If convicted Ms. Landin faces up to five years in jail. There are no charges pending for pushing children over or spitting on old people. Yet.
