No-show worker bilks cancer patient

A state contract worker has been charged with theft after she allegedly pocketed over $20,000 for home health-care services she didn't provide, according to the Chicago Tribune. The woman, Geans Johnson, 57, forged the cancer victim's name on Department of Human Services time sheets between September 2006 and May 2008 to carry out the scheme. Johnson was to have provided service for 5 hours a day, five days a week but did not perform any of the work.

Trixie wonders why there was no mention of the victim in this piece - did he or she receive health-care service from someone else during this time? Journalism 101 says present all sides, Trib.
